Thiruvananthapuram: Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development Shashi Tharoor will host an online video quiz show to promote tourism in Kerala, a state minister said Monday.
"We are delighted to present Tharoor as the quiz master of our first online video quiz show," said Kerala Tourism Minister A.P. Anil Kumar.
Tharoor will ask one question every day for 60 days on subjects related to Kerala`s geography and culture. Participants will get two hours to answer the questions online.
The show will begin early May and go on for two months. The online registration will begin April 20 on www.keralatourism.org, and the winners will receive gifts on daily, weekly and monthly basis, a state tourism official said.
Kerala Tourism Secretary Suman Billa said he has no doubt that the quiz master would be an instant hit with the global audience.
Tharoor is a member of parliament from the Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha constituency and is a former United Nations under secretary general.
