`Vikasana Munnetta Jatha` Flagged-off

Kerala Chief minister V S Achuthanandan flagged-off the state-wide march `Vikasana Munnetta Jatha` being organised by the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF) from nearby Manjeswaram in the district, Friday.

Democratic Front (LDF) from nearby Manjeswaram in the
district, Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, Achuthanandan said that the
state will not show any mercy towards those who have disgraced
women.

Criticising the Centre, Achuthanandan said that the
corruption in the Congress-led UPA at the Centre like the 2G
Spectrum had exceeded the corruption that had seen in the
State during the previous UDF rule.

The march, ahead of the assembly elections, aims to
highlight the achievements of the state government in taking
up development projects and emphasise the need to have stable
governance.

The march led by Communist Party of India (CPI) leader
and Civil Supplies minister, C Divakaran, will culminate at
Thrissur on March 2.

Kerala Education minister, M A Baby and Dewaswom
minister, Kadannappally Ramachandran would also accompany the
march.

Leaders of varios ldf constituents, including Uzhavoor
Vijayan and A A Aziz, are representing their organisations.
