Thiruvananthapuram: A senior IAS officer`s reported complaint that he was being harassed by Chief Secretary had its echo in the Assembly on Thursday with opposition leader V S Achuthanandan seizing on it to attack the government alleging civil servants in Kerala were indulging in "faction feud" resulting in administrative impasse.

Referring to media reports in this regard in the House, Achuthanandan said this was for the first time in Kerala that an IAS officer was levelling such complaint.
Achuthanandan`s dig at the Government came when he intervened on a notice for an adjournment motion by the LDF relating to admission and fee structure in self-financing medical colleges in the current academic year.

"For the first time in the history of Kerala, IAS officers are fighting each other resulting in complete breakdown of administration," the opposition leader said.
Raju Narayanswamy, Director of Printing and Stationery, had recently given a complaint to IAS Association that he was being harassed by the Chief Secretary Bharat Bhushan.
