Suspected terrorist with Syrian, Afghani currency arrested from train in Burdwan

The West Bengal Police on Monday arrested a suspected terrorist from a passenger train at Burdwan station. 

Kolkata: The West Bengal Police on Monday arrested a suspected terrorist from a passenger train at Burdwan station. 

The police acted on a specific intelligence input that a terrorist was on board the train going from Howrah to Rampurhat. They captured him him from a coach and handed him over to Burdwan railway police.

Senior police officials from Burdwan and Kolkata went to the GRP office while National Investigation Agency (NIA) was informed. 

The suspected terrorist has been identified as Mohammad Moasa and he was returning from Tamil Nadu. He was detained as soon as the train reached the Burdwan railway station.

According to News18 report, air gun, Syrian and Afghani currencies were seized from his possession.
