London, June 08: The fairy tale mirror of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs has been brought into the real world, but this time it gives fashion tips.
The Magic Mirror, manufactured by Big Space gives out fashion tips while you are trying on clothes in a store.
Once the mirror observes what you have tried on, it will advise matching items, and if something does not fit, it will ask a sales assistant to get a different size.
The manufacturers claim that the Magic Mirror acts as an ultramodern personal shopper and friend.
The mirror reads a barcode on each item before showing information about it on a built-in screen, following which the shoppers can have a different size forwarded to them at the touch of a button.
In addition, the mirror will also play fashion advertisements while you pass the time for an assistant to deliver the clothes.
"It is the nearest thing you will get to having your own personal shopper. It will always have the time for you and never gets impatient. You don't have to distract yourself by finding stuff because the mirror does a lot of that for you,” the Telegraph quoted Bill Waterson, head of retail at Fujitsu, which is collaborating with Big Space to get the mirror in shops, as saying.
The mirror, which was on display at the Technology Show at the NEC in Birmingham on June 6, is expected to hit the stores next month.
