Bhopal: The Bhopal Gas Peedit Mahila
Udyog Sangathan on Tuesday demanded that the former Chief Justice,
A H Ahmadi should resign from the chairmanship of the Bhopal
Memorial Hospital, which was set up on Supreme Court`s
direction with funds given by Union Carbide.
"In case, Ahmadi fails to resign, the Supreme Court
should remove him from his post," the Sangathan Convenor,
Abdul Jabbar told PTI.
Jabbar also said that his organisation demanded that
the Supreme Court should conduct a review of all that happened
in the Bhopal Memorial Hospital during Ahmadi`s Chairmanship.
"There were a number of prominent and retired judges
living in Bhopal and anyone of them can be made the hospital
Chairman," Jabbar said.
The Sangathan Convenor also said that unlike Ahmadi
who did not stay in Bhopal, these people would be staying here
and will be able to undertake a more important role in the
running of the hospital.
