Bhopal: Anand Kumar, who runs the famous
Super-30 coaching programme for IIT aspirants in Patna, said in Bhopal on Thursday that he would admit some students from Madhya
Pradesh in June this year.
Speaking at a programme where he was felicitated, Kumar
said that for the last three years all the 30 students of
Super-30 had been able to get admission into IITs.
Kumar said most Super-30 students came from poor
families. One of his students sold vegetables on the roadside,
while another was a son of auto-rickshaw driver, he said,
citing some examples.
Kumar recounted that he wanted to go to Cambridge in
1994 for higher studies, but could not do so as he had lost
his father, and there was no money.
