Dhar: Days after activists of the ruling BJP and Opposition Congress clashed in Gwalior, members of the two parties were again involved in a scuffle on Wednesday.

The incident took place during a programme organised to lay the foundation stone for a road to be constructed in a cremation ground at Sardarpur area near here.

The programme began in the presence of local Congress legislator Pratap Grewal, who has provided money from his MLA fund for the construction of the road.

Minutes later BJP workers led by Dhar District General Secretary Vel Singh Bhuria reached the spot and took objection to the programme.

This triggered a scuffle between the leaders and workers of the two parties in the presence of local Government officials and police.

Later, both groups filed complaints against each other at the Sardarpur Police Station, Aishwarya Shastri, police station in-charge, told reporters.

There were no reports of injuries in the incident. Demanding arrest of the Congress MLA, BJP workers 'gheraoed' the police station.

Last week, activists of the BJP and Congress had clashed at a function in Gwalior in the presence of Madhya Pradesh BJP President Prabhat Jha.
