BJP demands action against Digvijay

Ruling BJP in Madhya Pradesh submitted a memorandum to the Governor demanding stern action against Congress leaders including party General Secretary Digvijay Singh.

submitted a memorandum to the Governor demanding stern action
against Congress leaders including party General Secretary
Digvijay Singh for allegedly attacking saffron workers at
Ujjain and creating an atmosphere of terror there.

The memorandum submitted to Rameshwar Thakur alleged that
Singh and local MP Premchand Guddu not only chased BJP workers
in Juna Somwaria area but also beat them with sticks and other
arms and directed their associates to attack them.

The party`s youth wing workers identified as Jayant Rao
Garud, Ritesh Khabia, Ganesh Bagdi, Yogesh Thakur, Sudhir
Yadav and Sumit Narolia among others were seriously injured
and admitted to the district hospital at Ujjain, the memo
said.

The memorandum alleged that in the Nagjhiri area also,
Congress leader Anant Narayan Meena along with his associates
beat up BJP workers.

A report has been filed in this regard at Jiwajiganj
Police Station and Madhavnagar Police Station by saffron
workers against Congress leaders.

The memorandum further alleged that these incidents have
created an atmosphere of terror in the temple town and
demanded stern action against the accused.
