Bhopal: A city court, Monday, gave a clean chit to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his wife Sadhna Singh in the ‘dumper scam’.
The CM was accused of misusing his official position by renting out dumper trucks in 2006, registered in his wife’s name, to an industrial group as a quid pro quo for allotting out of turn mining leases.
Earlier the Lokayukta had also absolved them of the charges. The Special Police Establishment (SPE) that works under the corruption watchdog held that none of the charges against the CM, his wife, and others were proved.
