Bhopal: Enraged Congressmen on Friday set afire
effigy of former RSS chief K S Sudarshan in different parts of
the state in protest against the latter`s alleged derogatory
remark against AICC president Sonia Gandhi.

Madhya Pradesh Women`s Congress held a protest at the
Bhopal`s Board Office Square on the issue and set afire an
effigy of Sudarshan in protest.

Later talking to reporters State Women`s Congress
President Archana Jaiswal demanded that either Sudarshan
should tender an apology for making derogatory statements
against Sonia.

Youth Congress workers led by former MLA PC Sharma also
set afire an effigy of Sudarshan in protest in Bhopal.

In Indore, Congressmen last night virtually clashed with
the RSS workers when they were trying to set afire an effigy
of Sudarshan near the city Congress office, Gandhi Bhawan.

However, police separated them to restore peace in the area.
Meanwhile, suspected saffron workers pelted stones at the
residence of Madhya Pradesh Congress spokesman, K K Mishra,
Congress coporator Surjeet Singh Chaddha and also at the
petrol pump of the former State Congress president Radha
Kishan Malviya.

Police have registered two different cases on the issue
against unidentified persons.

RSS has denied any involvement of its workers in these
attacks.
