Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Congress Media
Committee Chairman, Aslam Sher Khan on Tuesday said that party
faced defeat in last Assembly polls due to differences in it.

Without taking any names, Aslam told reporters that it
was the duty of senior leaders to ensure unity within the
party but they had failed in that.

It was obvious that the BJP always took benefit of lack
of unity in Congress, he said.

The Congress leader said that there may be groupism in
the party but once a person was given a ticket for any
elections, everyone in the party should work for him.

He claimed that the BJP had carved out Chhattisgarh out
of Madhya Pradesh as it felt that it could never win elections
in the United Madhya Pradesh and splitting it would benefit it
in the elections.
