Congress stages protest against BJP`s `misrule` in MP

Bhopal: Even as the BJP celebrated Gaurav
Diwas here on Monday on the occasion of completion of Madhya
Pradesh Chief Minster Shivraj Singh Chouhan`s five years in
power, Congress activists took out a rally and staged a sit-in
protest against the BJP`s alleged misrule in the last five
years in various sectors.

The Congressmen led by State Congress President Suresh
Pachouri and Deputy Leader of the Congress Legislature Party
(CLP) Choudhry Rakesh Singh Chaturvedi garlanded the idol of
Mahatma Gandhi at the Old Vidhan Sabha and later took out a
protest rally till Roshanpura.

At Roshanpra Square they staged a silent sit-in and later
courted arrest, State Congress Spokesman KK Mishra told
reporters.

Later, Congressmen also submitted a memorandum to
Governor Rameshwar Thakur highlighting the plight of the state
and also urged him to intervene in the dumper scam probe being
conducted by the Lokayukta since last three years without any
concrete result.
