Digvijay says Naxal menace was not severe when he was CM
Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh Tuesday refused to comment on Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh`s allegation that the naxalite problem was more serious when he was Madhya Pradesh CM though he indicated that was not the case.
Guna: Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh on Tuesday refused to comment on Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh`s allegation that the naxalite problem was more serious when he was Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister though he indicated that was not the case.
Digvijay Singh who ended his three-day visit to Guna
district told reporters at his home town Raghogarh that he
would comment on Raman Singh` article only after reading it.
He however said that when he was Chief Minister of
undivided Madhya Pradesh, the problem of naxalism was not as
severe as it is today.
Raman Singh in an article has alleged that naxalism
spread in Bastar when the Congress leader was Chief Minister
and called him for an open debate on the issue.
