Digvijay says Pachouri alone not responsible for poll debacle

Criticising state Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Digvijay Singh said that he was giving false assurances to the farmers on waiving their loans.

Guna: Congress General Secretary
Digvijay Singh said here on Sunday that Madhya Pradesh Congress
chief Suresh Pachouri alone cannot be held responsible for the
party`s recent debacle in the by-polls in two Assembly
constituencies in the state.

"It is not wise to hold only state Congress President
Suresh Pachouri responsible for the party`s defeat in the two
constituencies. We too are responsible for it," Singh told
reporters at the airstrip here on his way to his hometown
Raghogarh.

Criticising state Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan,
Singh said that he was giving false assurances to the farmers
on waiving their loans.

Responding to a query, he said that the state government
was holding the Antyodaya Melas to take credit for welfare
schemes being run by the Central government.

Digvijay Singh today advised Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev to
make his income and expenditure public before speaking
anything against corruption.

"Before speaking against corruption, it would be good
that Baba Ramdev makes his income and expenditure public,"
Singh told reporters when he was asked to comment over Baba’s
suggestions on tackling corruption.

He said that if Baba wants to be in politics, he should
do it openly.
