Elderly journos in MP to get govt honorarium

Madhya Pradesh Government has decided to a pay an honorarium of Rs 5,000 per month to journalists, who are over 62-years-old.

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Government has decided to a pay an honorarium of Rs 5,000 per month to journalists, who are over 62-years-old.
The decision was taken by the State Cabinet at its meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan last evening, official sources said.
The other conditions to qualify for the scheme are that the journalist should be accredited with the state government for over 10 years, should not be dependent on any member of his/her family and should not be an income tax payee.
