Bhopal: The sacking of tainted IAS couple Arvind and Tinu Joshi from service is only the second instance of its kind in Madhya Pradesh.

Twenty-two years ago, Ram Singh, an IAS officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, was caught by the CBI while accepting a bribe when he was posted as general manager of Delhi Milk Supply (DMS) on Central deputation.
Singh, an officer of the 1972 batch, had sought a bribe of Rs 2 lakh from milk societies to reverse his decision to increase the security deposit for supplying milk from Rs 6 lakhs to Rs 10 lakhs.
He was later sentenced to five years rigorous imprisonment.
