Guna: Lokayukta Police here on Wednesday raided the
residence of an officer of Guna Municipal Corporation and
discovered assets disproportionate to known sources of income.
According to Lokayukta Deputy Superintendent of Police
(DSP) P S Upadhyaya, searches were underway at the residence
of Mohanlal Verma, in-charge of health and sanitation
Verma had been found to own three houses, 11 shops,
nearly five acres of agricultural land, a 10,000 sq ft
industrial plot, three other plots and three cars, the DSP
Plus, Rs 2.40 lakh cash were recovered from one of the
houses, and Rs 95,000 were found in the scrap lying in another
Also, 102 gm of gold ornaments were recovered.
The total value of Verma`s assets is yet to figured out.
Verma`s monthly salary was Rs 30,000, officials said.
