I-T raids in Madhya Pradesh yield over Rs 26 crore

Bhopal: A sum of Rs 1.25 crore and
documents showing investments of nearly Rs 25 crore in the
share market, were seized from six places of a mining
contractor in Katni and Panna districts of Madhya Pradesh
during a raid, Income Tax officials said on Thursday.

The I-T department raided sixes places of mining
contractor Pawan Mittal in Katni and Panna cities yesterday,
they said.

Several documents of unaccountable immovable property
and jewellery were also recovered during the raid conducted by
a team of officials from Bhopal, Income Tax officials said.

The exact cost of the immovable property and jewellery
is being evaluated, sources said.
