Bhopal: An Ittehad-e-Millat convention
concluded here on Sunday with a resolve to work for the
implementation of Sachar Committee and Ranganath Mishra
Commission`s recommendations for the uplift of Muslims.

"We want that the Sachar Committee and Ranganath Mishra
Commission`s recommendations should be implemented," Maulana
Kalbe Jawwad told reporters.

"We want that the Dalit Muslims should get the benefits
akin to Scheduled Caste," said Maulana Jawwad, who is also the
patron of Ittehad-e Millat Convention (Unity of Community).

The Lucknow-based Shahi Masjid Imam, Jawwad said Muslims
clerics and intellectuals who converged at the convention from
various sects of Islam felt that there was a need to ensure
that youths of their community were not prosecuted in false
cases by the law enforcers.

Police were picking up our youths and implicating them in
false cases of terrorism, the Shia community Imam alleged.

The police officers who implicate our youths should be
prosecuted, he demanded.
