Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday termed the tragedy in Jhabua, which claimed 89 lives, as “the saddest moment of his life” and assured of stern action against the accused.
“I will not spare anyone. We are with people who have lost everything,” Chouhan was quoted by ANI.
Even as the main accused in the incident, Kasawa, continues to be absconding, the MP CM also announced a reward of Rs one lakh for anyone who can give information about the culprits.
Chouhan visited the accident site at Petlawad town of Jhabua today morning where he was gheraoed by angry locals.
However, that has not deterred him and he plans plans to return again tomorrow to meet the families of the victims.
Meanwhile, the Madhya Pradesh government has announced that the treatment expenses of the victims at private hospitals will be borne by it.
