Journalists meet Governor over Wage Board issue

Madhya Pradesh Governor, Rameshwar Thakur, Friday assured that he would take up the issue of delay in the notification of G S Majithia Wage Board report for journalists and non-journalists with the Centre.

Thakur, Friday assured that he would take up the issue of
delay in the notification of G S Majithia Wage Board report
for journalists and non-journalists with the Centre.

A delegation of PTI and UNI journalists and
non-journalists met the Governor and submitted a memorandum
addressed to the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Union
Labour Minister Mallikarjun Kharge, demanding immediate
notification of the Wage Board report.

The Governor, after hearing about the problems faced by
the employees of the fourth estate, specially in view of
rising inflation, assured to take up the matter with the
Centre.

The Wage Board report was submitted on December 31,
2010 to the Centre, but it has not yet been notified.
