Speaking to Zee News, Badole said that the mafia also attempted to drown him by trying to seize his boat.

"I had received complaints about illegal sand mining taking place along the Jainabad bank of Tapti river. After reaching there, we tried to stop the mafia workers. Instead, they launched an attack on us by pelting stones at us and attempted to drown my boat," Badole said.
