Bhopal: A little-known Naxal outfit has
sent a threatening letter to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister
Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his wife Sadhna, police sources said
on Thursday.

The letter warns the two of dire consequences if the
services of contract teachers in the state are not made
permanent, they said.

"Though we believe that it is an act of a mischief
monger, a case has been registered in Shyamla Hills police
station here in this regard," the sources said.

The letter, written by the unnamed head of "Naxalwadi
Sanghthan", Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh, reached the Chief
Minister`s residence here about two months back following
which it was forwarded to the Police Headquarters, they said.

The outfit threatens to harm Chouhan and his wife if
its demand was not met, the sources said.

The letter also mentions about the role played by the
government employees in ousting the then Chief Minister
Digvijay Singh from power after he refused to entertain their
demands.

Experts are examining the letter, they said, adding
the case has been registered under IPC section 507 (criminal
intimidation by an anonymous communication).
