Madhya Pradesh CM supporting CBI inquiry comes too late, says advocate

Senior advocate Vivek Tankha on Thursday said that Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's agreeing to the Central Bureau of Investigation conducting an inquiry into the Vyapam scam has come too late.

New Delhi: Senior advocate Vivek Tankha on Thursday said that Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's agreeing to the Central Bureau of Investigation conducting an inquiry into the Vyapam scam has come too late.

"The Madhya Pradesh CM's supporting a CBI inquiry now is too little too late," Tankha told a news agency.

Tankha had earlier called for an independent investigation under the Supreme Court's supervision after the death of journalist Akshay Singh, who had gone to take an interview of the family of a slain in Vyapam scam accused.
