Rajapaksa visit: MDMK leader Vaiko, 700 supporters held

Bhopal: MDMK leader Vaiko and his around 700 supporters, who were protesting Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa's visit to Madhya Pradesh, were on Friday detained in Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh.

A day after his talks with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in New Delhi, Rajapaksa reached Sanchi to lay the foundation stone of Buddhist and Indic Studies University at Sanchi amid tight security arrangements.

In anticipation of protests by activists of the Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK), the state government has put in place elaborate security arrangements for the visit of the Lankan president's visit.

"We will not forgive BJP government in Madhya Pradesh. All the protesters came here and decided to get arrested," Vaiko told reporters here.

The MDMK is protesting against the conduct of Sri Lankan forces during the climactic phase of the war against the LTTE (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam) in 2009 which killed and displaced thousands of Tamils in the island nation.

Vaico was one of main sponsors of the LTTE terrorists and Prabhakaran.SL army destroyed the LTTE which many believed that would not happen.He is not able to accept it.He should understand that Tamilnadu and then Indian government created the LTTE to fight in Srilanka. For Tamils it was astruggle.For the Indian government it was more than that and we needed to destroy ``FREE MARKET SRILANKA.`` However, now we understand that we did wrong.We blame Pakistan for terrorism but our soil and money were used to raise terrorists too.We must get the blame.Our forign policies are very very bad that we do not have atrue friendly neighbour around us.We think that we are big and we can do any thing we want.That is not right and consequences will be severe.We must stop this mad Tamilnadu acts and must admire the SL army for rescuing more than 300000 people kept as human shield by the LTTE.Vaico or Jaya didnt talk about humanity when the LTTE killing hundreds thousands of innocence civiliancs.These double standard clearly shows us that all these things for political gains.I was able to Srilankan Tamils few months back, they say that they are much better than in Tamilnadu and Srilanka is making progress in every where.Therefore just stop this mad dogs and never allowed to interfere India`s foreign policy. .
