Bhopal: Northern and Eastern Madhya Pradesh continued to reel under intense cold wave with mercury dipping to a low of two degrees in some parts of the state.

Gwalior recorded the minimum temperature of 3.2 degree Celsius. Places like Rewa, Umaria, Khajuraho, Naugaon and Datia remained the coldest with the minimum temperature dropping to two degrees. This prompted authorities to issue low temperature warning for the area.

On the other hand, temperatures in western and southern Madhya Pradesh including Bhopal remained above the normal mark. Indore and Bhopal recorded a temperature of 10.8 degree Celsius which was one degree above normal.
