Bhopal: Dr E Sreedharan, the Managing
Director of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation and his team of
experts on Wednesday carried out a survey in the state capital to
probe feasibility of a metro train network.
A report is expected within six months.
The team visited Bhadbhada Bridge, Jawahar Chowk,
Roshanpura Naka, MP Nagar, Govindpur, Habibganj Railway
Station, 10 number stop, Link Road No 2-3, Chuna Bhatti, MACT
Chouraha, Mata Mandir and Polytechnique Square in the New
Bhopal, official sources said.
It also visited Police Head Quarters (PHQ), Neelam Park,
Jinsi, Pul Bogda, Bhopal Talkies, Hamidia Road, Railway
Station, Berasia Road, Karond Chouraha, Nabibagh, Kamla Park,
Royal Market, Koh-e-Fiza and Lalghati in the old city area.
Sreedharan later met Madhya Pradesh Urban Development
Minister, Babulal Gaur and said that a Detailed Project
Report on feasibility of metro in Bhopal and Indore would be
submitted within six months, sources added.
