Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Assembly was on Monday adjourned for the day after paying tributes to 12 personalities including senior BJP leader, Pyarelal Khandelwal and renowned journalist, Prabhash Joshi.
Mention about the deaths of these 12 persons was made by the Speaker Ishwar Das Rohani, who said that all of them had done glorious and excellent work in their respective fields.
Tributes were also paid to them by the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Leader of the Opposition in the House Jamuna Devi, Bahujan Samaj Party leader, Ram Lakhan Singh and Bharatiya Janshakti Party leader Laxman Tiwari.
Later, the members stood in silence for two minutes in memory of the departed souls following which the House was adjourned till tomorrow morning.
