MP BJP to hold party workers' meet on Oct 30-31

 Ahead of the upcoming civic body polls in Madhya Pradesh, the ruling BJP in the state has organised a two-day conference of local party leaders on October 30-31.

Bhopal: Ahead of the upcoming civic body polls in Madhya Pradesh, the ruling BJP in the state has organised a two-day conference of local party leaders on October 30-31.

The meeting will be inaugurated by BJP chief Amit Shah, state BJP president Nandkumar Singh Chouhan told reporters here today.

Union Ministers Venkaiah Naidu, Sushma Swaraj, Narendra Singh Tomar and Thawar Chand Gehlot have also confirmed their participation in the event, he said.

"The total number of civic bodies in the state is 2,500 and two leaders of the party from each civic body will take part in the conference," he said.

A total of 17,000 poll booth in-charge will also attend the conference along with corporators, MLAs, MPs and district presidents, among others.

The valedictory function will be addressed by Madhya Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

Election dates for the local body polls are yet to be announced.
