Indore: Madhya Pradesh High Court`s Indore
bench here today quashed the lower court`s permission to carry
out a narco test on Ranveer Singh Sudan allegedly involved in
the land scam in the city.
A division bench of High Court comprising Justices S L
Kochar and S K Seth quashed the lower court`s permission to
carry out narco-analysis of Sudan, the petitioner`s counsel
Ajay Mishra told reporters here.
He said he contended that the apex court on May five had
ruled that nacro-analysis, polygraph test and brain-mapping
can`t be carried out without the consent of accused or
Devi Ahilya Housing Co-operative Society president Sudan
among 30 persons have been booked in a criminal case for
cheating hundreds of people with an offer of land.
After arresting Sudan, the police couldn`t extract
vital information regarding the land scam following which
they moved the district court.
The district court had granted permission to the police
to carry out narco-analysis on Sudan.
