Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Home Minister
Umashankar Gupta suffered minor injuries when his cavalcade
was hit by a truck near Nainajod square in neighbouring Sehore
district, police said on Tuesday.
However, two policemen -- Assistant Sub-Inspector of
Police Puran Singh Malviya and constable Omkar Singh -- were
injured seriously in the accident last night, they said.
The incident took place around 9 pm when Gupta was
returning to Bhopal from Sarangpur after attending a
programme. The pilot vehicle leading the minister`s car
collided with a truck following which it hit the car and the
pile up behind, injuring him slightly, police said.
Both the injured policemen were in the pilot vehicle
during the mishap. They have been admitted to a hospital in
Sehore, they added.
