MP polls: Digvijay Singh`s son Jaiwardhan files nomination

Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh`s son Jaiwardhan Singh today marked his entry into politics by filing nomination papers for Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections from Raghogarh constituency.

Guna: Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh`s son Jaiwardhan Singh today marked his entry into politics by filing nomination papers for Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections from Raghogarh constituency. Congress is yet to release list of its candidates for the November 25 state Assembly elections. Jaiwardhan along with his father and other family members, filed his nomination papers at Raghogarh, 47 km from here. Today is the first day of filing of nominations for the elections. The last date for filing nominations is November 8 and withdrawals would be allowed till November 11. Jaiwardhan came in a convoy of over 150 vehicles but apart from him, only four persons including a lawyer were allowed entry inside the Collectorate for nomination filing. After filing the papers, Jaiwardhan and others left for Gwalior to condole the death of senior Congress leader Rai Singh Bhadoria. Bhadoria, who was in his 80s, was expected to contest the elections but he passed away.
Digvijay told reporters at the Collectorate that "even the secularism of Sardar Patel would never have condoned the riots that took place in Gujarat in 2002".
