MP receives good rainfall in first monsoon phase

Madhya Pradesh has recieved almost double the amount of rainfall till now this season, against what is expected in the first phase of monsoon.

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh has recieved almost double the amount of rainfall till now this season, against what is expected in the first phase of monsoon.

From June 1-22, the state has received a rainfall of 134.4 mm of rain against the expected 60.4 mm and this is 123 per cent more than normal.
Eastern Madhya Pradesh recorded a rainfall of 193.4 mm against the expected 67.1 mm which was 188 per cent more than normal.

Five districts in eastern MP have already received in excess of 400 per cent of rainfall while four other districts have received rainfall more than 300 per cent.
At least seven districts in Western Madhya Pradesh recorded rain shortfall of 50 per cent of or more.
