Bhopal: An MPhil student of the Barkatullah
University here was allegedly gangraped by three persons,
including a doctor, in the Bhopal Memorial Hospital and
Research Centre (BMHRC) campus, police said on Tuesday.

The incident took place yesterday after the victim,
residing at the varsity hostel, left the premises without the
permission of the hostel warden to meet a black magician to
sort out her troubled marriage on January 3.

After leaving the hostel she went to meet an acquaintance
identified as Pradeep More, who then took her to BMHRC to meet
Dr Raghuraj Pandey, police said.

They were joined by Anand Mishra, a black magician, who
tricked the girl to drink liquor laced with drugs to make her
unconscious, Bagh Sevania Police Station head Gopal Singh
Thakur said.

The trio then allegedly gangraped her on the night of
January 3, he added.

The victim was rescued yesterday after she messaged the
hostel warden, during a movie show at a city hall where Mishra
had taken her for a show.

Police, who were alerted by the warden, reached the spot
and took the accused into custody. The trio were arrested and
further investigations are on, he added.
