Harda (MP): Madhya Pradesh BJP Mahila Morcha vice-president and wife of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Sadhana Singh on Thursday said that she would not contest in elections and instead continue to serve the party as a worker.
"I am not going to contest an election and continue serving the party as a worker," Sadhana told reporters here.
There was no nepotism in the party, the BJP leader said, adding that she got the post by virtue of being a humble party worker and not because of being the Chief Minister`s wife.
Sadhana pointed out that she was a BJP worker before marrying Chouhan. The Chief Minister`s wife had arrived here to take stock of preparations underway for party`s `Karyakarta Gaurav Diwas` to be celebrated on November 29 in Bhopal.
