Indore: Over 2,000 kgs of `mawa` was
on Friday seized by health officials from a shop here on suspicion
that the milk product used to make sweets was adulterated.
"The Mawa, a milk product used to make sweets, was
brought from Morena by a bus," said Indore Municipal
Corporation`s Health Department officials, who conducted the
raid.
The mawa was seized from a shop at Pipalyahana square.
As per the health officials, the raid was to ensure
that adulterated food items do not flood the market with
Diwali being just round the corner.
Further investigations were on, officials said.
