Indore: Madhya Pradesh High Court today
directed the Assistant Solicitor General to seek CBI`s view on
a petition demanding probe by Central agency into missing of
Dilip Patidar, a witness in Malegaon bomb blast.

A division bench comprising Justices S Kemkar and Prakash
Shrivastava asked the ASG Vivek Sharan to submit a detailed
report on the issue after seeking CBI`s view.

The bench has asked Sharan to get CBI`s view on the
petition demanding central agency probe into Dilip`s
mysterious disappearance, petitioner`s counsel Bhuwan Deshmukh
told reporters.

He said Ramswaroop, brother of Dilip has moved the
petition.

Dilip was picked up by Mumbai Anti Terrorist Squad from
Indore to question him in connection with the Malegaon bomb
blast in November 2008 and since then his whereabouts are
not known, Deshumukh said.

He said the Madhya Pradesh police had failed to trace
Dilip.
However, the ATS is maintaining in the court that
Dilip on his own had come down to Mumbai and was ready to
become a witness in the Malegaon case.

ATS has told the court that Dilip was asked to bring
documents to prove his identity following which he left their
office in Mumbai on November 18, 2008 but never returned.
Dilip was tenant of absconding Malegaon blast prime
accused Ramji.
