Rs 1-lakh reward announced on suspected SIMI activist`s head

A day after a suspected activist of banned outfit-SIMI killed three persons, including an ATS constable, in Khandwa district, MP police on Sunday announced a cash reward.

banned outfit-SIMI killed three persons, including an ATS
constable, in Khandwa district, Madhya Pradesh police on Sunday
announced a cash reward of Rs one lakh on his head and have
decided to release his sketch shortly for his
identification and arrest.

Madhya Pradesh Director General of Police S K Raut on Sunday
announced Rs 1 lakh cash reward for facilitating the
identification and arrest of the culprit, Nimar Police Range
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) G Janardhan said to a news agency on phone.

"We are preparing his sketch and are going to release
it soon," the DIG said.

He said that the police have identified the vehicle used
by the assailant to kill the Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS)
Constable Sitaram Batham (32), adding the two-wheeler was
stolen on November 17 from Palasner Village in Harda district.

He said that the assailant had left the motorbike at
Teen Pulia area where he shot Batham first.

Janardhan said that they have picked up three -four
persons last night and were grilling them in connection with
the incident.
