Indore: Sleuths of the Lokayukta on Wednesday raided
the houses of a revenue department Patwari here and detected
assets worth Rs 2.5 crore, disproportionate to his known
source of his income.
Lokayukta teams raided Patwari Laxmi Narayan Yadav`s two
houses in Hathod and Ambikapuri here and booked him under
Prevention of Corruption Act, SP Ombudsman Virendra Singh said.
The raids revealed two luxury houses in Indore, a JCB
machine valued at Rs 20 lakh, two cars, Rs 11 lakh cash, gold
and silver ornaments worth Rs 10 lakh, insurance policies of
Rs 80,000 and nearly 30 `beegha` agricultural land in Balkakri
near here, the SP said adding investigations are on.
