Bhopal: Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister
Digvijay Singh received wholesome praise from an unexpected
quarter today when incumbent Shivraj Singh Chouhan heaped
encomiums on the Congress leader.
Chouhan said Singh during his tenure as CM launched many
schemes for the uplift of Dalits, poor and economically
backward class in the state.
The AICC general secretary maintained personal relations
with all people cutting across the political line, he said
during an All India Kshatriya Samaj Federation Convention.
Chouhan recalled how Singh had offered him a government
plane so that he could go to Mumbai for treatment as at that
time he was unable to travel by train following an accident.
The Chief Minister said Kshatriya Samaj has always played
an important role in the country and effort to uplift the
Samaj in all fields should be continued.
