Three held for accepting bets on Pak-NZ match

Three bookies were arrested for accepting bets to the tune of Rs one crore on today`s one-day international match between Pakistan and New Zealand in Auckland, police said.

Indore: Three bookies were arrested for
accepting bets to the tune of Rs one crore on today`s one-day
international match between Pakistan and New Zealand in
Auckland, police said.

On a tip off, crime branch today raided a flat in Vijay
Nagar area and caught the trio--Puneet Khandelwal, Gaurav
Khandelwal and Jagdish Malani--who were allegedly running a
betting racket here.

About 73 chits, having details of Rs one crore bets, 16
cell phones, two TV sets, a laptop, recorder and calculator
used in running the racket were also seized, police said.
