Three held for Indore triple murder

Indore: Three persons, including a young woman, were on Wednesday arrested here in connection with the sensational triple-murder that took place in posh Srinagar Main area of the city three days back, police said.

The "mastermind" behind the gruesome murders was Neha Verma rpt Neha Verma (23), who in order to make a quick buck planned the murders of Ashlesha Deshpande (21), her mother Megha (42) and grand-mother Rohini Phadke (70) on June 19 with the help of Rahul Choudhary (24) and Manoj Atodh (32), Indore Range Inspector General of Police Sanjay Rana told reporters here.

A pistol and two knives besides the booty and two ATM cards have been recovered from the accused, he said.

Neha, a beautician, befriended and requested Megha (42) to hire her as a member of her marketing chain, Rana said.

Neha, along with two of her accomplices, went to the residence of the Deshpandes at Srinagar Main area on June 19. The accomplices shot at and slashed the women before decamping with Rs 1.5 lakh, they said.

The police got a lead after they learnt that Rahul, who accidentally fired at his foot while committing the crime, got himself admitted to a local hospital.
