Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Babulal Gaur on Wednesday worshipped live snakes on the occasion of serpent festival, Naag Panchami.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader celebrated the festival at his residence in Bhopal.
Hindus offered prayers to serpent deities across India today on the occasion.
The festival is celebrated every year on the fifth day of the fortnight leading to the full moon, during the monsoon month of Saavan.
