Ahmednagar: Maharashtra Home Minister Ram Shinde's office here was on Tuesday attacked by alleged Sambhaji Brigade volunteers who pelted stones and damaged furniture and windows, a senior police officer said.
District police chief Saurabh Tripathi told PTI that the alleged Sambhaji Brigade volunteers raised slogans against Maharashtra government's decision to present the Maharashtra Bhushan award to historian Babasaheb Purandare.
The minister's office assistant Suresh Kale lodged a complaint at the Tophkhana police station against alleged Sambhaji Brigade volunteers, the police officer said.
The police has filed a case against the miscreants, the officer said adding nobody has been arrested yet.
