Armed dacoits loot ornaments worth over Rs 3 lakh

Three persons were injured one of them seriously when armed dacoits raided a residence in a village here Monday and looted ornaments worth over Rs 3 lakh, rural police said.

seriously when armed dacoits raided a residence in a village here Monday and looted ornaments worth over Rs 3 lakh, rural police said.

The incident took place in Kardal village in the early
hours when a gang of six members broke into a house using huge
stones, they said.

The members allegedly beat up the house inmates and
decamped with ornaments worth Rs 3,30,000, police said.
Two of the injured were admitted to a local hospital
while one 31-year-old Jaideep Jaswant Thakkar has been shifted
to a hospital in Virar in critical condition, they said.

Police said a man hunt has been launched for the dacoits
and a case in this regard has been registered with the Saphala
police.
