Mumbai: Samajwadi Party leader Abu Asim Azmi on Tuesday demanded Rs 10 lakh compensation to the family members
of Faiz Usmani, who died soon after being picked up by the
city crime branch for interrogation in connection with the
recent serial blasts in the metropolis.
"We demand that Rs 10 lakh be given to the family members
of Usmani as he is survived by a wife and six children," he
said.
The MLA also alleged that Usmani was mentally harassed by
the police.
"I'm not saying that he was beaten. But he was mentally
harassed by the police," he added.
