BJP-Sena will part ways ahead of BMC polls: Sharad Pawar

NCP chief Sharad Pawar on Tuesday claimed ruling BJP-Shiv Sena alliance will fall apart ahead of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections slated in early 2017.

Mumba: NCP chief Sharad Pawar on Tuesday claimed ruling BJP-Shiv Sena alliance will fall apart ahead of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections slated in early 2017.

"The day the BMC polls are declared, this alliance won't be there," Pawar said.

He was addressing a poll rally in Bandra tonight for Congress candidate Narayan Rane who is contesting the Assembly byelection from Bandra East seat on April 11.

This election will prove to be a turning point for Maharashtra politics, Pawar said.

He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi's statement to make India free of Congress shows their arrogance.

Addressing the rally, Rane said chief minister Devendra Fadnavis was trying to stop his entry to the Assembly.

Meanwhile, Fadnavis also addressed a poll rally tonight for Shiv Sena candidate Trupti Sawant who is in the fray against Rane.
