BJP's Bagde files nomination for Maharashtra Assembly Speaker

BJP's Haribhau Bagde Tuesday filed his nomination for the post of Speaker of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.

Mumbai: BJP's Haribhau Bagde Tuesday filed his nomination for the post of Speaker of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.

Bagde, a legislator from Phulambari in Aurangabad was accompanied by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, his cabinet colleagues and Bahujan Vikas Agadhi MLA Hitendra Thakur, his two MLAs, 4 Independent MLAs.

Varsha Gaikwad of Congress and Vijay Auti of Sena also filed their papers.

Gaikwad is MLA from Dharavi, while Auti is a legislator from Parner. The last date of withdrawal is 10 AM tomorrow.

NCP has already said it will not contest the election.
