Bombay HC bench recuses from hearing Adarsh case

A division bench of the Bombay High Court which was going to hear the petition filed by the residents of the controversial Adarsh Cooperative Housing Society today recused itself from the case.

Court which was going to hear the petition filed by the
residents of the controversial Adarsh Cooperative Housing
Society today recused itself from the case.
The division bench of Justices Dhananjay Chandrachud
and A V Mohta was to hear the petition today, but judges said
"not before us".
The petitioners will now have to approach Chief Justice
Mohit Shah for assignment of a new bench.

The Petition filed by the society has challenged
cancellation of occupation certificate and cutting of power
and water supply by the municipal authorities amid allegations
that the building was constructed in violation of various
rules.
